Plain-English Summary
Talkio listens live during a call to give the rep real-time coaching — audio is captured only during sessions you explicitly start.
Raw audio is streamed for transcription and never stored by Talkio.
Transcripts, summaries, and structured call notes are saved to your account so you can revisit them later.
We only read your Google Calendar events (title, time, attendees) — read-only, nothing else.
CRM sync to Salesforce/HubSpot happens only when you click sync — never automatically.
We do not sell your data. Ever.

2 What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what data Talkio collects, how it is processed, who it is shared with, and your rights — when you use the Talkio Chrome Extension, web dashboard, or backend API.

3 Data We Collect and How We Use It

Account Information

You sign in with your Google Account. We collect only your name, email address, and Google account identifier — the minimum needed to create and maintain your Talkio account.

Google Calendar

If you connect your Google Calendar, Talkio requests read-only access to calendar events — event title, start/end time, attendees, and meeting link (such as Google Meet). This is used solely to show your upcoming meetings and link Talkio's call insights to the right event. Talkio does not access your full calendar list, sharing settings, or other calendars, and never creates, edits, deletes, or RSVPs to events.

Call Audio

When you start a session, Talkio captures audio from your active call tab and, where permitted, your microphone. Audio is streamed in real time over an encrypted connection to our backend, then forwarded to Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription. Raw audio is never written to disk or stored by Talkio. When the session ends, the stream closes.

Transcripts, Coaching, and Structured Call Data

As the transcript comes in, Talkio uses AI to generate live coaching suggestions delivered within seconds via the on-call overlay, and to extract structured fields such as budget, timeline, decision-maker, pain points, and competitor mentions. Unlike raw audio, transcripts, coaching output, summaries, notes, and extracted call fields are saved to your account so you can review them after the call. They are retained while your account remains active.

CRM Sync

If you connect a CRM (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot), you can push captured call information — including structured fields and, where relevant, attendee details sourced from the calendar event — to that CRM with one click. Sync only happens when you trigger it; Talkio does not push data to your CRM automatically.

Technical Logs

Standard server logs may include IP addresses, session IDs, connection timestamps, and error messages, used for debugging and security. Retained for up to 30 days then automatically deleted.

4 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom, we process your data under:
